How Much Imperial Gold Maca™ Should I Take?

Each capsule of Imperial Gold Maca™ contains 600mg. of pure premium organic Maca root, (Lepidium peruvianum Chacon). Our experience has shown that beginning with 2-4 capsules a day. You will feel a noticeable difference in energy, stamina alertness and sex drive almost immediately within a day or two. You may increase or decrease the number of capsules up or down without any fear of negative results. If you find that you are satisfied with less that it fine.

Some individuals may have a major imbalance in their system, and will need to gradually increase the number of capsules to experience a difference. If, seven days after starting with 3 - 4 capsules, you do not feel a difference, increase by 1 capsule a day until you notice increased energy, decreased hot flashes, increased sex drive, etc. Then start decreasing  by 1 capsule until symptoms reappear. This way you can monitor what is best for your body.

The beneficial effects of Imperial Gold Maca™accumulate with use. The amount required to increase energy or maintain a healthy state of hormonal balance usually decreases over time. For example, a man using a beginning amount of 6 capsules a day may find that after 3-4 weeks he may only need 2-3 capsules to achieve the same results.

So What is Meant By an Adaptogen Herb

For those who know and understand Adaptogens, say that an Adaptogen is nature's solution to sickness. To be considered an adaptogen, a plant must conform to the following criteria:

  • The plants must be nontoxic and totally harmless to the body. It must allow for continuing normal physiological functioning of the human body without adverse reaction and easy absorption

  • The action it exerts on the body must be nonspecific and should maintain normal body functions despite a wide range of onslaughts to the body ( i.e., stress).

  • It should normalize body functions irrespective of existing pathological condition and not cause or induce odd bodily behavior.

Unlike drugs which carry with them the possibility of side effects, Adaptogens must benefit the body without disturbing it or doing any harm. Not many plants possess adaptogenic properties.

Serious research on Adaptogens began in 1947 under the auspices of Dr. Nicole Laserev from Russia. He reported on several indigenous plants that helped increase the body's natural resistance to environmental stresses and later coined the term "Adaptogens."

Will I Have To Take MACA For The Rest of My Life

Most probably, Imperial Gold Maca™ is a wonderful supplement to any diet. While it has shown the ability to increase stamina, energy and internal body balancing so effectively. It is not replacing hormones in the body, but nourishing the hormonal system, you can start or stop the herb without any danger to the body at anytime. It is suggested to alternate periods of taking the herb with periods of rest from the herb to maximize the body's response period. For example: on 12 weeks and off 1 - 4 weeks. Due to the excellent effects of taking
Imperial Gold Maca™, most people  find that they do not want to be without it for so long and alternate it 10-12 days on and 1-2 days off. This will allow the body to readjust to an improved level of functioning on its own.

Can I Take Too Much Imperial Gold Maca™

Maca is an adaptogenic  herb which means it adapts to the bodies needs. The body will utilize and absorb what it needs with its brilliant internal knowledge, and it absorbs only what it needs from this amazing miracle herb.  The usual amount eaten by native South Americans to maintain stamina is 2-10 grams a day ( that would be as much as 12-14 capsules of Imperial Gold Maca™ daily). These folks work at very high altitudes above 10,000 feet above sea level, and have little else in their diets that support them nutritionally. Yet these large doses of MACA have not shown any toxic effects. Their are many adaptogenic herbs, but Maca seems to be the most superior as future studies will show.

Athletes, bodybuilders and runners use Imperial Gold Maca™ in large amounts because of the physical stress they put on their muscles and organs. They take about 5-8 grams a day (  6-8 capsules ), 4-5 times a week to increase endurance and performance naturally. These people may be  the exception, yet it is important that those using this herb understand that it affects individuals according to their needs. Because Imperial Gold Maca™ is an herb food the chances over over dosing is slim to none. In Peru, the native Indians use Maca in everything they consume. For example a walk through the Peruvian market place will find all types of Maca cookies, drinks, deserts etc.
